Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Shalom Infotech Pvt Ltd ("Shalom Infotech", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit sociolync.com or use Sociolync, our platform for WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and LinkedIn messaging, CRM, quotations and invoicing (the "Service").
Questions about this policy can be sent to info@shalominfotech.com.
1. Who this policy covers
- Our customers: businesses that create a Sociolync workspace, and the people they add as users. For account, billing and usage information, Shalom Infotech decides how the data is used.
- Our customers' contacts: people who message a business, or receive messages from it, through Sociolync. We handle this "customer content" on behalf of the business that uses the Service and only to provide the Service to that business. The business is responsible for its own relationship with its contacts.
- Website visitors: people who browse sociolync.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, business name, email address, mobile number, username and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Verification: the mobile number you verify with a one-time code when you create a workspace.
- Business details: address, GST number, logo, bank or UPI details you add to quotations and invoices, and your WhatsApp business profile (display name, description, website, category).
- Billing and wallet: your plan, payments, WhatsApp Wallet recharges and the charges for each paid message. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never receive or store your full card, UPI PIN or netbanking details.
- Support messages you send us.
Customer content

- Contacts and leads (names, phone numbers, social profile IDs, tags, notes), message templates, chatbot flows, campaigns, sequences, social posts, quotations, invoices, customers, suppliers, products and payments that you create in the Service.
Information from connected platforms
When you connect a channel, the platform sends us only the data allowed by the permissions you approve:
- Facebook: the list of Pages you manage and choose to connect, Page access tokens, messages sent to your Page, and the name and profile ID of people who message it; the ability to publish posts you create and to read engagement on them.
- Instagram: your Instagram professional account ID and username, direct messages sent to your account and the senders' usernames and IDs, and the ability to publish posts you create.
- WhatsApp: your WhatsApp Business Account and phone number IDs, message templates and their review status, messages your contacts send you, delivery and read receipts, the phone numbers and profile names of the people you message, and account quality notifications.
- LinkedIn: your name and the LinkedIn organisation pages you manage, and the ability to publish posts you create on them.
Collected automatically
- Log and device data such as IP address, browser type, pages used, time of access and security events (for example failed sign-in attempts).
- Cookies: see section 8.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: sending and receiving messages on your connected channels, showing them in your Unified Inbox, running your chatbot flows, campaigns and sequences, publishing your posts, and generating your quotations and invoices.
- To bill you: charging plan fees, adding wallet recharges, deducting the price of each paid WhatsApp message and refunding messages that were not delivered.
- To protect people from spam and abuse: honouring STOP and opt-out replies, applying daily sending limits, reviewing message templates, pausing sending when Meta reports quality problems or failure rates are high, and blocking suspicious sign-ins.
- To keep the Service secure and working: troubleshooting, monitoring and preventing fraud.
- To communicate with you: verification codes, receipts, low-balance alerts, service and security notices, and replies to support requests.
- To meet legal obligations, including tax and accounting rules, and to enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer content or data from Meta, Instagram, WhatsApp or LinkedIn to advertise to anyone, to build profiles for advertising, or to train any public model, and we do not share it with data brokers.
4. How we handle Meta platform data
- We use data from Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp only to provide the features you turned on, for the business that connected the account, in line with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted and are used only by our servers to call Meta on your behalf.
- You can disconnect a channel at any time in Sociolync under Channel Settings. You can also remove Sociolync from your Facebook account under Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations. When you do, Meta notifies us and we stop accessing the account and delete the stored access tokens.
- To request deletion of data we received from Facebook, see section 10 or our data deletion instructions.
5. WhatsApp messages sent through Sociolync
- Messages are sent and received through the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) operated by Meta. Meta processes them under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Businesses must have their contacts' permission before sending them WhatsApp messages. Anyone can reply STOP to stop marketing messages from a business; Sociolync then blocks further marketing messages to that number from that business.
- For each message we keep its status (sent, delivered, read or failed), the time, and its cost, so the business can see delivery reports and its wallet statement.
6. Who we share information with
- Messaging and social platforms (Meta for WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram; LinkedIn), only as needed to send and receive your messages and publish your posts.
- Service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect the data and use it only for us: web hosting, email delivery, SMS providers for verification codes, and Razorpay for payments.
- Your own team: users you add to your workspace can see the data their access allows.
- Authorities, when we are legally required to, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or Shalom Infotech.
- A buyer or successor if our business is merged or sold, who must keep protecting the information under this policy.
7. International transfers
We host the Service with our hosting provider. Messages sent through WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are also processed by those platforms, which may store data outside India. Where data is transferred outside India, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer and on applicable law.
8. Cookies
The Service uses essential cookies only: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a cookie that remembers your workspace name on the sign-in page. They are needed for the Service to work. We do not use advertising cookies.
9. How long we keep information
- Account and customer content: for as long as your workspace is active. When a workspace is deleted, its data is removed from our live systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.
- Message logs and delivery reports: for as long as your workspace is active, unless you delete them sooner.
- Payments, invoices and wallet records: for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law, even after a workspace is deleted.
- Security logs: up to 12 months.
10. Deleting your data
- Delete your workspace: an admin can delete the whole workspace and its data under Settings → Delete workspace.
- Disconnect a channel: under Channel Settings, or by removing Sociolync from your Facebook Business integrations. Stored tokens are deleted.
- By email: write to info@shalominfotech.com from the email address on your account. We reply within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days.
- If you messaged a business that uses Sociolync: that business controls your conversation. Please contact the business directly, or email us and we will pass your request to it.
Full steps, and how to check the status of a request made through Facebook, are on our data deletion instructions page.
11. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections, encrypted storage of access tokens and payment keys, hashed passwords, mobile number verification, sign-in attempt limits, access controls inside each workspace, and separation of each business's data. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
12. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected and updated;
- have your data erased when it is no longer needed, and withdraw any consent you gave;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to; and

Most account details can be changed in Sociolync under My Profile and Settings. For anything else, write to us using the details below.
13. Children
Sociolync is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will tell workspace admins by email or in the Service before it takes effect.
